Discover the remarkable contributions of three pioneering institutions to cardiovascular care and innovation:

  1. The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University - Established in September 1928, this comprehensive top-tier hospital, a joint venture between provincial and national authorities, integrates medical services, teaching, research, prevention, health promotion, rehabilitation, and more. Under the leadership of Prof. Jianzeng Dong, a distinguished cardiologist since its inception in 2016, it has emerged as one of China's largest centers for atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment, with an annual patient intake exceeding 110,000. The Atrial Fibrillation and Arrhythmia Diagnosis and Treatment Center performs over 3,000 examinations annually and conducts more than 1,200 radiofrequency ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation alone.

  2. Shangh General Hospital - Founded in 1864 by French Consuls as one of China's earliest Western medicine hospitals, this institution was recognized as the first affiliated hospital with Shangh Jiao Tong University in 2002. It was officially classified as a Class A tertiary general hospital by the Chinese government's Ministry of Health in 1992 and has been bestowed the title of Civilized Model Unit annually by the Shangh Municipal Government for an uninterrupted 25 years.

This institution holds its place at the forefront of national medical advancements, boasting a sprawling area of 303,333 square meters - currently the largest in Shangh. With over 4,000 permanent staff members including 1,297 physicians and 1,640 nurses, this facility operates approximately 2,580 beds. In recent years, it has served nearly 3.77 million outpatients, admitted more than 110,000 inpatients, and performed around 80,000 surgeries.

  1. The First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University - Founded in 1930, this comprehensive modern hospital has grown to become a beacon of medical excellence, integrating medical treatment with teaching and research over its more than 80-year history. Today, it boasts an impressive capacity of 3,700 beds and serves over 2.6 million patients annually, with more than 100,000 inpatient treatments each year alone. This hospital hosts 29 departments for teaching and research, comprises 41 tertiary disciplines, offers services from 82 medical departments, administers 13 medical technology units, manages 25 administrative offices, and operates 25 trning sites.
