The Dermatology Treatment Center DTC is a groundbreaking program designed to revolutionize the care of patients with severe skin disorders like psoriasis. Its unique approach integrates wellness, education, social support, and personalized nursing care into comprehensive dermatologic therapy. The center offers convenience and emphasizes holistic treatment alongside traditional medical expertise.
Program Highlights
Comprehensive Goeckerman-based Regimen: This includes a modified regimen involving topical creams and medications, scalp treatments, and ultraviolet light therapy.
Individualized Nursing Care: Our dedicated nursing staff provides personalized attention to ensure patients' needs are met throughout their stay.

Treatment Process
Patients admitted to the DTC undergo dly sessions that typically last six to eight hours. Results Achieved

Eligibility Criteria
Prospective candidates for the program undergo initial evaluation with a dermatologist referral following consultation in Michigan Medicine's Department of Dermatology Clinics. Patients with severe cases or uncontrolled medical issues may require hospitalization initially but can transition to DTC upon approval from their insurance carriers, if eligible.
Differences between Hospital and DTC Admission
Eligible patients admitted to the DTC receive comparable therapy akin to that provided in the U-M Hospitals Dermatology Inpatient Service. However, they benefit from a more flexible schedule with nighttime accommodations at home or nearby locations instead of hospital stays.
