The Catalan Institute of Oncology ICO has partnered with the International Agency for Research on Cancer IARC, ming to advance our collective understanding and combat agnst HPV-related diseases worldwide. This strategic collaboration is designed to accelerate the development, implementation, and optimization of papillomavirus HPV prevention strategies specifically targeted at reducing cervical cancer and other HPV-induced illnesses.

Impact of HPV-related Cancers: Analysis covers a range including but not limited to: cervix, anus, vulva, vagina, penis, oral cavity, and pharynx.
HPV Prevalence and Type Distribution: Data pertning to women with normal cytology, precancerous cervical lesions, and invasive cervical cancer. Additionally, HPV prevalence in anatomic regions such as the anus, vulva, vagina, penis, head, and neck is explored.
HPV in Men's Health: Examination of HPV’s role and implications on men's health conditions, including but not limited to various cancers and precancerous states.
Risk Factors for Cervical Cancer: Identification and analysis of factors that contribute to the development of cervical cancer based on a robust global database.
HPV and Cervical Cancer Prevention Practices: Overviewing current practices med at HPV prevention and control strategies targeting cervical cancer.
HPV Vaccine Approval and Introduction Worldwide: Documentation of the approval process, introduction timelines, and dissemination strategies for HPV vaccines across different countries.
Vaccination Coverage and Practices: Analysis of global vaccination rates, coverage status, and trs in HPV vaccine administration.
Socio-Demographic Characteristics: Examination of how socio-economic factors influence disease prevalence and vaccine uptake.

The data is meticulously curated from a systematic review of published literature and official reports by reputable organizations including the World Health Organization WHO, United Nations, The World Bank, IARC's Global Cancer Observatory Globocan, and Cancer Incidence in Five Continents CI5C.
