National Center for DSSTD Control and Prevention

The National Center for DSSTD Control and Prevention was established on July 1998 as the National Center for HIVDS Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Health. Originally part of the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, it was re-affiliated in January 2002 to become a specialized institution approved by the State Council focusing on HIVDS prevention and control, now attached to China CDC which took over from the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine.

6. Global Collaboration: Facilitating international exchanges and cooperation med at tackling global challenges posed by HIVDS and Hepatitis C through shared research, resources, and strategies.

7. Trning Support: Offering postgraduate education programs, providing for DSHIV and Hepatitis C prevention and treatment professionals, participating in emergency response efforts when necessary.

8. Policy Development: Contributing scientific evidence to the formulation of policies and regulations governing HIVDS prevention and control measures.

9. SCAWCO Support Other Assignments: Undertaking tasks assigned by the State Council DS Working Committee Office SCAWCO and performing other duties as entrusted by China CDC.
